Following the successful Part I on Works of Art and Part II on Ceramics, Part III focuses on Chinese paintings, from the private collections of Dr KS Lo and Dr TT Tsui, to the gems in the Hong Kong Museum of Art. Through lectures, object handling and exhibition visits, this course offers a concise guide to the auction houses, museums, key collectors and dealer networks which shape Hong Kong as the international hub for Chinese art. Coinciding with Christie’s Hong Kong 2019 autumn auction, our specialists will guide participants for an exclusive and close look at the highlights of Chinese paintings on offer.

• An overview of the history of Chinese paintings collecting in Hong Kong from the late nineteenth century to the present, as well as its interaction with Chinese paintings collecting in the West
